Nick Haness Bio

Nick Haness is a well-known figure in the west coast hunter community, with a career rooted in success since his junior riding days. In 2006, he clinched victory at the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search West Finals. Haness operates a successful international equine sales business from his own Hunterbrook Farms in California, all while maintaining a dominant presence in the show ring.

Nick Haness' more recent accolades include winning the 2024 $100,000 USHJA WCHR Peter Wetherill Palm Beach Hunter Spectacular, 2024 $100,000 WCHR West Coast Hunter Spectacular, Chronicle of the Horse's 2022 Hunter Person of the Year, 2022 Capital Challenge WCHR Pro Final Champion, 2019 $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby champion, recipient of the Emerson Burr Trophy and 2019 USEF Equestrian of the Year.
